Good restaurants are shaped not only by the people leading them today, but by the people learning the craft for tomorrow.
At Cookies World, sustainability goes beyond the food we serve. It is about taking responsibility for the future of our industry, our people and our communities. Investing in education and supporting the next generation of hospitality professionals is an important part of that commitment.
At Cookies Cream and Crackers, our Ausbildung programme is one of the ways we put this into practice. Our Azubis learn in real kitchens, during real service, with real guests and real responsibility — from cutting, cooking and sauces to teamwork, timing, costing and staying calm when everything happens at once.
For us, Ausbildung is about educating the next generation of hospitality professionals. That’s why we have dedicated Ausbilder within the team — Felix, Simon, Chris and Viktor — who support, teach and guide our Azubis throughout their apprenticeship. Because a career in hospitality is about much more than mastering a craft. It’s about discipline, creativity, flexibility and learning how a restaurant truly works.

For our Restaurant Azubis, the training is just as hands-on: hospitality, guest experience, wine, spirits, confident service, reading a table and moving smoothly between kitchen, floor and guest. An apprenticeship with us usually lasts two to three years — enough time to learn, grow, find your rhythm and become part of the team.
This year, we are proud to celebrate five Azubis completing their apprenticeship with us: Prune von Staalen, Bela Zarling, Christa Lenzen, Malte Schmidt and Lukas Saum.

Currently training with us across Cookies Cream and Crackers are Julius Führer, Gabriel Rose, Felix Reimers, Marie Thome and Sebastian Plum — each with their own path into gastronomy.
For Julius Führer, training in the Cookies Cream kitchen brings together two worlds: cooking and creativity. What began as a love for cooking and baking with family and friends grew into an interest in recipes, techniques and food culture. Before joining Cookies Cream, Julius studied design and art in Berlin — and through his artistic practice, where food often became a medium, found his way into professional gastronomy.
For Gabriel Rose, training in service at Crackers means teamwork, energy and learning fast. He describes the programme as lively, supportive and full of new challenges — with discipline, long hours and pressure, but also passion, focus and the feeling of working with people who genuinely care about what they do.
Some Azubis continue working with us after completing their apprenticeship. Some take what they have learned and carry it into new kitchens, new restaurants and new chapters. Some leave, gather experience in fantastic places, and later come back. And some never really leave at all — which, for us, is one of the best compliments a restaurant can get.
And because the future does not pause for long, three new Azubis will start their Ausbildung programme with us in August.
