The kitchen

We cook comfort food: tatar, steaks, wild fish, and a dedicated vegan menu. We care where it comes from. The meat comes from free-range farms, and the fish is wild-caught. Vegetables and herbs are grown for us by Farmer Peter in Krielow, Brandenburg.

The room

To enter Crackers, you ring a buzzer on a small gate on Friedrichstraße. When it closes behind you, the city stays outside. You’re fucking free – the neon sign says so. You walk through the kitchen and arrive in a room five metres high. Crackers was built inside a historical venue that originally served as the theatre and cinema hall of the Institut Français in East Berlin. The cinema became the underground techno club, Cookies. And in 2014 it became Crackers Restaurant.

What remains is a cinematic setting: a large dinner island and dramatic blue decor. A dining hall from another time, in the middle of Berlin, seven nights a week from 6 pm.

The bar

We rework the classics and craft signature drinks using in-house infusions, kitchen spices, and fresh herbs. Come for a drink before dinner, or stay long after.
