If you’ve spent time at Crackers over the past years, you most definitely know them. The calm confidence. The precision. The vibe. The kind of bartenders who don’t just serve drinks — they set the tone of the room without ever needing to shout about it.
Leo and Fabio, former Crackers bar team favourites, have now taken the leap into something huge: they’ve opened their very first place together — Schwips.
So… what is Schwips?
Schwips isn’t “just another bar.” It’s a curated living room bar made for how people actually want to hang out today: warm, laid-back, a little cheeky, and a space that welcomes you whether you’re dropping by solo for one drink… or settling in with friends for hours.
The original idea existed long before the location. It started as a conversation between them — about how they personally love to drink, host, and connect: drinking with intention, sharing meaningful time, and using produce consciously.
Everything clicked when they found a small corner space at Tieckstraße / Eichendorffstraße, met their new business partner Weien, and realised: this is it.
After years working side-by-side, they realised they’re the ultimate duo: Fabio brings structure, classic technique and operations expertise — while Leo brings creativity, storytelling and R&D obsession. Schwips is where both their energies meet at.
At the heart of Schwips is a concept that feels very now: zero-waste bases made in-house, often starting from leftover produce, seasonal fruit and rescued ingredients. Each base can then be enjoyed in different ways — as a mocktail, a Kir with (or without) bubbles, a longdrink or something martini-like. One base, many expressions. No pressure — just craft.
Their signature drink?
Cornetto & Jam — a nostalgic, slightly unexpected signature that blends mixology technique with Italian roots and Asian flavour sensibility. Inventive, delicious, and perfectly them.
Schwips is a warm, easy space where people can connect, laugh, and stay a little longer than planned — without pressure and without pretence. Go visit, grab a drink, and let Schwips do what it does best: make you stay for “one more.”
